Vendée Concept was founded in 1991 at the initiative of Christophe Favre. Its first manufacturing facility was located at 33 Rue Watt in La Roche-sur-Yon, France. This marked the beginning of the company’s journey, as Vendée Concept quickly established itself as a specialist in dynamic weighing systems.
In 1991, Vendée Concept was a small artisan business with a team of five people, based at 33 Rue Watt in La Roche-sur-Yon, France.
Today, it has grown into a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) employing more than 65 people.


In 2001, Vendée Concept patented its overhead weighing system with the launch of the CALIBRA LA, marking a genuine technological breakthrough.
The CALIBRA LA frees up valuable floor space by using overhead conveyors suspended from the ceiling.


In 2002, Vendée USA was established in the state of Georgia, USA, marking the company’s expansion into the North American market.
At the same time, Vendée Concept strengthened its international presence by exhibiting at an increasing number of international trade shows.



In 2003, Vendée Concept Services (VCS) was established under the leadership of Laurent Montassier.
VCS is responsible for the after-sales service and customer support for Vendée Concept.


In 2003, the company adopted a new visual identity by introducing a new logo and sponsoring a vehicle in the Dakar Rally.
In 2005, Vendée Concept became an SME thanks to its 49 employees.
In 2007, Vendée Concept moved into its current headquarters, located at 57 Rue Alexander Fleming in La Roche-sur-Yon, France.



In 2013, Vendée Concept significantly expanded the export of its weighing systems.
By exhibiting at major international trade shows, the company successfully broadened its global network of distributors, strengthening its presence in markets around the world.


In 2015, the company made significant investments in Research and Development (R&D).
These included the development of the OPEZ-B multihead weigher, the design of the OVA-B intelligent conveyor, and the integration of SCARA robotic technology.
The company also expanded and diversified its range of mechanical and ergonomic solutions.



In 2016, Vendée Concept filed Patent No. 16 57100 for its modular weighing belt, developed for the CALIBRA T QUARTZ sorting system.


EIn 2018, to meet its growing needs, Vendée Concept expanded its workshop by more than 820 m² to increase its production capacity. The company also installed a 310 m² canopy with a Pre-Shipment Preparation Area and reorganized its facilities.
Vendée Concept also developed ergonomic solutions for workstations to help prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).


In 2019, Vendée Concept signed a contract worth more than €2,000,000 for the development of a Geobox production line project.
The CALIBRA T QUARTZ sorting system was approved under LNE certification No. 33696-6, classified in Classes X and Y.
Our LNE certificate has recently been updated, confirming the improved metrological performance of the CALIBRA T QUARTZ sorting system.
In 2020, Vendée Concept diversified into the fruit and vegetable sector with the development of a leek grading machine.


In 2021, Vendée Concept experienced strong growth in its Research and Development (R&D) activities.
This momentum was reflected in particular through the development of the weighing and labelling division.
The company also continued to innovate with the development of the CALIBRA OTRANCH-B, an automatic slicing machine designed for the bakery sector.


The year 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of Vendée Concept as well as its partnership with Arnaud Boissières , Skipper for the Vendée Globe 2024.


In 2022, Vendée Concept intensified its commitment to R&D , particularly in the robotics sector, by integrating palletizing robots and AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots).
The company also secured 2 contracts in the seafood sector .
In collaboration with OP Vendée, Vendée Concept has patented the Anisakis RD2A evisceration machine , used for the removal of viscera and worms. This innovation is protected by European patent no. 23 187929.7.
Furthermore, Vendée Concept is innovating with its patented belt gripper , patent no. 1157010 , designed to optimize the handling of strips in batches and simplify your packaging operations.


In 2023, the management changed with the appointment of Chloé Favre as general manager, the succession is assured !

In 2024, Vendée Concept celebrates its 33rd anniversary and becomes a partner of the Vendée Globe.
This year also marks 20 years of collaboration with the company BLANCHET, specializing in the manufacture of wooden packaging.
Vendée Concept generates 25% of its revenue from exports after Covid and is restructuring its team in Canada.


In 2025, Vendée Concept will return to its post-Covid export turnover level, with 31% increase .
Vendée Concept is also continuing its robotics innovation with the first installation of the COBOT robot in Canada. This is a collaborative robot capable of working safely alongside human operators, without a wire mesh enclosure.
In a spirit of social and environmental responsibility, Vendée Concept has installed photovoltaic panels.


In 2026, Vendée Concept continues its growth and celebrates its 35th anniversary !
Vendée Concept has also renewed its partnership with skipper Arnaud Boissières, who will set sail for the Vendée Globe in 2028.
