Instinct is a computer programme developed by Vendée Concept. It has been designed to assist in the control of industrial machinery. The programme operates in passive mode, meaning that the machine is controlled by the programme rather than by a human operator.
One of the main advantages of Instinct is that it allows users to view upcoming production batches, enabling operators to run simulations using the data to anticipate production requirements. As a result, the server is able to anticipate what is coming and adjust demand accordingly, ensuring efficient and optimised production.
The software consists of two parts: a control module and a simulation module. The control module is responsible for controlling the machines, whilst the simulation module helps the operator to make decisions based on the available data.
A colour code is also used to display the machine’s status. If the code is green, this means production is running smoothly; if the code is orange, this means improvements need to be made; and if the code is red, this means the machine is outside the software’s simulation.
Pros :
- Smart management
- Support for the operation of industrial machinery
- Simulation of upcoming production batches
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR INDICATING THE MACHINE’S STATUS
| Green code | Production is good |
| Orange code | Improvements are required |
| Red code | The machine is outside the software simulation |
