Custom Robotic Cells
Vendée Concept develops custom robotic cells to automate pick-and-place and handling operations in industry, with a simple goal: increase efficiency, consistency, and production availability.
These cells help standardize repetitive tasks, maintain a constant pace, and improve ergonomics, while reducing manual handling and risks associated with load variations.
Configuration and integration
Depending on the application, we integrate robots of all types:
- Delta robots for very high-speed applications (fast pick-and-place of single items).
- SCARA robots for fast and precise movements over short trajectories, ideal for assembly and transfer tasks.
- Articulated robots (6 axes) for maximum flexibility (complex orientations, multi-angle picking, constrained environments).
The choice of robot architecture is made based on the product, throughput, footprint, and integration constraints.
Custom End-Effectors and Patented
We design and manufacture custom end-effectors tailored to the product and process constraints.
Depending on the application, the gripping can be mechanical (clamps), vacuum-based (suction cups), or hybrid, with additional functions for orientation, centering, or presence detection.
We also hold a patent for an end-effector system integrated with a conveyor, ensuring optimized pick-and-transfer, while improving the speed and consistency of operations within the cell.
Coninous Flow Pick-and-Place
Depending on the application, the cell can be designed to perform continuous flow pick-and-place operations, without stopping products on the conveyor. The robot dynamically synchronizes with the moving product using a tracking function, aligning trajectory, speed, and pick point in real time. This approach improves overall throughput, reduces downtime associated with indexing, and ensures smoother operation when upstream/downstream lines run continuously. Tracking can be based on a conveyor encoder and/or detection/vision system, depending on the required precision and product variability.
